Step 2: Dry Fit.

Since the box that is suggested has partitions cast inside that will need to be removed the first steps will be to lay to Raspberry Pi b+ (RPb+) in the box. Making sure that the board does not overlap the sides of the box (ok for ports to overlap sides).

Step 3: Mark your Cuts.

Once the Board is placed and held in the box mark the edges of the board so you will know where to cut.

Step 4: Start your Cuts.

Cut the Partitions vertically where you marked. I used the Sawzall for this step.

Step 5: Dremel Horizontally

Now, Take the dremel tool and Cut the bottom so that the box can be deep enough to hold the RPb+. The Plastic will melt so try not to stay in the same area too long unless you want a pool of plastic in and around the cut.

Step 6: Clean Dremel

As I said, the Plastic will melt. Since the dremel is spining in hot plastic you will end up with poly strings wrapped around your shaft. Just Cut them loose.

Step 7: Cut and Gross

The plastic melted and did not leave a clean edge.

Step 8: Clean Up the melty mess

Go Over you cuts and clean the up as much of the plastic mess as possible.

Step 9: Dry Fit again

Dry Fit the RPb+ again. Mark where the holes will go.

Step 10: Cut the Port Holes

I used a hot exacto for this step. I did not get any pictures of it because was playing with fire. Just heat the exacto blade over a open flame. You can jam it in the plastic once it is hot and it will melt/cut it like butter.

Step 11: Clean Up the Port Holes

I went thru and files the edges of the port holes. The Hot knife method of cutting plastic does not make for straight clean cuts.

Step 12: Dry Fit, mark Cut Again

Dry fit the board again. This time marking the USB and network port. Cut using the Hot knife or the dremel tool.

Step 13: It Fits.

Woo hoo. After lots more dry fitting and cutting it fits. Just keep testing till you get it to fit.

Step 14: Cut so fits.

I forgot to cut space for the SD card. So now I am doing that.

Step 15: Done.

Done Picture. I did not attach the RPb+ to the inside of the box in anyway. I just am using it for protection while I decide what to do with this one. If you would like to attache it I was thinking hot glue or nuts and bolts.

Thanks and have fun!
