Step 1: COMMAND PROMPT MESSENGER

If you are a pc user on a network you can set up a private chat directly through your Command Prompt. All thatís needed is the IP address for the users system in which you wish to communicate. This IP address can also be found in the Command Prompt. To find a computers IP address go to your Command Prompt and type ipconfig. This will reveal your IP address, Subnet Mask & Default Gateway. Copy the IP address of the computer in which you are sending a message to.

To send a message you will need to open your Notepad and enter:

Step 2: END SETUP ENJOY

Now save this as "Messenger.bat". Open the .bat file and in Command Prompt you should see:

MESSENGER
User:

After "User" type the IP address of the computer you want to contact.
You should see this:

Message:

Now type in the message you would like to send.
Before you press "Enter" it should look like this:

MESSENGER
User: 182.100.100.100
Message: Hi


Now press "Enter", and start chatting!


save it as anything.bat open it up and for user: type the IP adress of who you want to send it to. then message is message of course.

*Note this will not work if the messenger service is disabled. To enable it follow these steps.

1. Click Control Panel
"Classic View"
2. Administrative Tools
3. Services
Look for "Messenger"
4. Go to properties and go to automatic.

Step 3: IP MESSENGER TXT FILE

Download this file and save it bat extension.
