This FollowSun project is based on a solar panel placed in a support with a stepper motor driving a wheel controled by a PIC microchip in order to turn the solar panel to where the sun shines the most every half an hour. This will exploit the solar panel resources for supplying at every moment of the day the most current and voltage.
Step 1: Create a support for the solar panel
Step 2: Make a power interface
For this interface we used:
1 LF347 Operational Amplifier
4 TIP41 NPN transistor
4 10k Ohms Resistor
4 2.2k Ohms Resistor
This interface will avoid loading effects oin the PIC
Step 3: Select the motor
We selected a bipolar stepper motor of 6 wires at 12 volts in order to move the support of the panel.
