I was looking for a nice way to package a bottle of wine for our friends birthday and with a little advice from the consultants at Tecshop I was able to come up with this. The holder was cut using a 16"x24" 1/4 inch plywood on the Trotec laser cutter. It accommodates most standard bottles of wine or liquor.

Step 1: Design Holder

I used Corel Draw to design the holder. I left the artwork off the cdr file for you to customize and make it your own.

Step 2: Laser Cut Wood

I used the recommended settings in our kit for cutting plywood on the Trotec laser cutter. The most difficult part was finding a decent piece of plywood at our local big box hardware store.

Step 3: Assemble

Before assembly we gave the wood a good wipe down with a damp cloth to remove the scorch marks from the laser. Using your basic wood glue assemble the pieces and enjoy.
