Introducing Retrofitted Toilet Seat using Intel Edison Board

Intel Edison Board C++ WiFi Toilet Seat Down project uses robotic arm to ensure the toilet seat is down after use. Robotic arm is activated by Intel Edison Board running a web server with a sensor connected to the toilet seat. After toilet seat is used the sensor sends signal to Intel Edison Board running web server which then activates robotic arm that puts the toilet seat down. Can also be activated remotely via mobile app sending commands to the web server running on public IP using Octoblu.

Step 1: Retrofit regular toilet seat with robotic arm

Step 1. Retrofit regular toilet seat with robotic arm to put the seat up or down. Here we used a chair, duct tape and laptop.

Step 2: Connect a sensor to the toilet seat

Step 2. Connect a sensor to the toilet seat and wire the sensor to the Intel Edison Board. Here used a kit and duct tape.

Step 3: Write a web server running on Intel Edison Board

Step 3. Write a web server running on Intel Edison Board and public IP interface using Octoblu. Here used C++ and Javascript.
